Zama Unveils Expanded Confidential Access to Onchain Yield
Zama, a confidentiality protocol for onchain finance, has announced a major expansion of its confidential access to onchain yield. This expansion builds on the successful launch in June with Morpho and Steakhouse, which saw a confidential USDC Prime vault grow from zero to $40 million in TVL within seven weeks.
The new expansion adds 16 curated confidential vaults across five asset classes (USDC, USDT, WBTC, AUSD, and TGBP) and opens the Zama Swap Protocol for confidential swaps between positions. This allows users to access diversified onchain yield without disclosing their holdings or strategies.
Zama enables institutional allocators, corporate treasuries, and active market participants to access onchain yield with confidentiality. The company's protocol leverages Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to enable digital assets to be issued, managed, and traded privately on existing public blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana.
According to Dr. Rand Hindi, Co-founder and CEO of Zama, 'When we launched the first confidential USDC vault with Morpho and Steakhouse in June, we proved that confidentiality and DeFi are not mutually exclusive.' He added that today's expansion is 'proof of the model at scale.'
