Zcash Co-Founder Sees Privacy, Post-Quantum Security as Crypto Industry's Future Standards
Zcash co-founder Eli Ben-Sasson believes that two features will become baseline requirements for the crypto industry in its next phase: privacy and post-quantum security. In a recent X post, Ben-Sasson identified these features as crucial for the growth of blockchain adoption.
According to Ben-Sasson, both features need to be easy to use and affordable to gain traction. He highlighted the importance of preparing digital systems for a future where sufficiently powerful quantum computers could threaten some cryptographic schemes currently in use.
The Zcash co-founder has been actively discussing these two features in his recent X posts, following recent advancements in the crypto space. In August, StarkWare, a startup Ben-Sasson is a cofounder of, successfully mined the first quantum-safe Bitcoin transaction on the mainnet.
