Zcash ETF Sets Stage for 3-for-1 Split as Inflows Surge Past $233M
Grayscale's Zcash ETF is set to undergo a 3-for-1 forward share split after attracting over $233 million in cumulative inflows just a month after its launch on August 25. The influx of funds has led to the ETF growing to around $890 million in net assets and generating more than $11 billion in cumulative trading volume.
The timing is notable, as the ETF has only been available for trade since late August. Investors have poured in roughly $112 million on September 8 alone, with Zcash itself seeing an explosive move above $1,200 due to increasing demand and short squeezes.
A forward split generally makes each individual share cheaper without changing the underlying economics of the fund. This can make it easier for smaller investors to trade the ETF and improve flexibility for options strategies and portfolio allocation.
