Zcash Expansion Gains Momentum with European ETP Launch
21shares has launched the first exchange-traded product (ETP) tied to Zcash in Europe, expanding its reach into regulated markets. The ETP allows investors to gain exposure to ZEC through brokerage accounts without directly holding the cryptocurrency.
The physically backed Zcash ETP is listed on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, alongside another new ETP tracking ETHFI, the governance and utility token of Ether.fi. The annual management fee for both products is 2.5%, higher than many Bitcoin and Ether investment products in Europe.
This move follows the launch of the Grayscale Zcash ETF in the US, which trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH. The growth of Zcash ETPs in both the US and Europe reflects growing institutional interest in the privacy coin.
Zcash has recently surged past $1,500 and gained nearly 1,100% over the past year, with some analysts suggesting it could benefit from 'second-mover advantages' that help it overcome Bitcoin's entrenched network effects.
