Zcash Gains Regulated Exposure in Europe with First European ETP Launch
21Shares has launched its first European exchange-traded product (ETP) in Europe for Zcash, bringing regulated exposure to investors through Euronext markets. The new physically backed Zcash ETP is listed on both Euronext Paris and Euronext Amsterdam, allowing investors to access ZEC ($1,552.79 · Live) ownership without managing the cryptocurrency directly.
The launch coincides with strong market performance for Zcash, which has recently pushed above $1,500 and gained nearly 1,100% over the past year, according to CoinMarketCap data. This momentum has led some analysts to discuss whether Zcash can serve as an alternative to Bitcoin in certain narratives.
The Zcash ETP is physically backed, meaning it's supported by underlying Zcash holdings rather than derivatives-based exposure. This structure appeals to investors seeking direct asset linkage while avoiding custody and operational complexity.
21Shares also introduced a second ETP tracking ETHFI, the governance and utility token of Ether.fi, which trades on the same Euronext venues as the Zcash product.
