Zcash Holders Back Proposal for Faster Transactions and Halving
Zcash holders have overwhelmingly voted in favor of faster transactions and Bitcoin-style halvings, according to recent voting results. This move is expected to increase transaction speeds on the Zcash network by up to four times.
The proposal was put forward by Zcash Improvement Proposal (ZIP) 383, which aims to implement a block size increase and halving of the block reward every two years. The proposal received an overwhelming 91% approval rate from the community, with over 10,000 ZEC holders participating in the vote.
