Zcash Network Activates Ironwood Upgrade with Formally Verified Shielded Pool

The Zcash network has activated its Ironwood (NU6.3) upgrade at mainnet block height 3,428,143.

This update brings in a formally verified shielded pool and restricts the older Orchard pool.

New funds can no longer enter the old shielded pool (Orchard), while existing Orchard funds must pass through a 'Turnstile' mechanism to migrate.

This strengthens verifiability of ZEC's total circulating supply, according to officials who state there's currently no evidence the earlier soundness issue was exploited or that user funds or total supply were affected.
