Zcash NU7 Upgrade Timeline Announced

Zcash's NU7 upgrade has been given an official timeline by its development organizations. The upgrade is expected to cut block times from 75 seconds to just 25 seconds, allowing for faster confirmations and better transaction performance.

The team plans a testnet activation on October 6, followed by the mainnet activation on November 5. The code for the planned features is also targeted for completion by September 30.

Zcash's price has skyrocketed by 10% to hit a new high of $1,526 today following this announcement.
