Zcash Price Soars Above $500 as Market Capitalization Surges
The price of Zcash (ZEC) has surpassed $500 and is testing the key breakout zone of $518-$520. This move comes after a significant increase in market capitalization, which rose from around $7.7 billion to over $8.5 billion in just a few days.
Analysts point out that several fundamental catalysts are working in Zcash's favor, including the Ironwood upgrade, expanding institutional mining, and improved regulatory clarity. The upgrade introduces a new shielded pool and a turnstile mechanism designed to make the total supply mathematically verifiable.
The 4-hour chart analysis shows that the price is pressing against a descending resistance trendline around $518-$520. Closing above this trendline would complete a short-term breakout from the recovery structure that has formed since June. However, the 4-hour RSI is overbought at 73.08, indicating a possibility of consolidation or even failed breakout.
The daily chart tells a less bearish story, with ZEC trading above its 100-day SMA and the daily RSI comfortably below overbought levels. This implies that the macro chart has more upside potential as long as buyers can overcome resistance.
