ZCash Reclaims $500: Liquidation Clusters Drive Short-Term Trends

ZCash (ZEC) has reclaimed its spot above $500 after experiencing a steady climb since hitting a local low of $451 on July 29th. This surge pushed the token's price up by 12.48% over the past week, marking a significant return to the hotly contested $500 area.

Looking back at ZEC's history, this level held psychological importance in December 2025 when it was rejected as resistance, leading to a pullback to $176. The higher timeframe trend remains bullish after reaching $750 in 2025, with the deep pullback since then considered part of the uptrend.

Towards the end of July, ZEC began to fall below the $500 area and aligned with a bearish short-term move due to Bitcoin's inability to climb above $67.3k. However, the OBV on both timeframes has been flat in recent weeks, indicating equilibrium between buyers and sellers.

The two key magnetic zones to monitor will be $530 and $450, as swing traders can wait for a sweep of these regions to enter and anticipate a reversal toward the opposite direction.
