Zcash Smashes $1,500 Barrier Amidst Market Volatility
Zcash has broken above $1,500 for the first time since its launch in 2016. On September 19, 2026, the ZEC price reached an intraday high of $1,590.80 and a low of $1,466.66. The current market capitalization stands at $24.97 billion, making Zcash ninth among all crypto assets.
Over the past seven days, Zcash has risen by 31.38%, while over 30 days it's up 159.02% and over twelve months a staggering 2,913.12%. The total trading volume over the past 24 hours was $1.15 billion, with 16,940,252 ZEC in circulation out of a maximum of 21,000,000.
Germany has two deadlines for Zcash holders: the year-end cut-off and the EU anti-money-laundering regulation from July 2027. The German finance ministry plans to introduce a flat-rate withholding tax, removing the one-year holding period for crypto assets acquired after December 31, 2026.
