Zcash Sprints, Then Stalls: What Now for Cryptocurrency's Top Performer?
Zcash (ZEC) saw its price skyrocket by 130% in just one month, briefly reaching a ten-year high of almost $1,300. However, bears stepped in and erased much of the gains, leaving it unclear whether the rally will resume.
One reason for ZEC's impressive run is the launch of Grayscale's ZEC ETF, but three key developments suggest a more substantial pullback may be on the horizon. According to Ali Martinez, one of those is the TD Sequential indicator, which flashed a sell signal on the 3-day chart.
'The last time this setup appeared, on May 19, it resulted in a 64% price correction,' he noted. Other factors include ZEC's RSI soaring above 70 and entering bearish territory and the shift from self-custody methods to centralized platforms, which increases immediate selling pressure.
Zcash is currently trading with an 8.5% loss but remains among the top 10 biggest digital assets. Meanwhile, Cardano's ADA has been gaining attention for its optimistic price forecasts, with some analysts predicting a pump to $0.30 if it reclaims $0.25.
Ethereum (ETH) is also at a crossroads, trading slightly below the $2,500 mark and waiting for a strong weekly close above $2,550 to fuel a rally to $3,000.
