Zcash Surges 23% Amid Fed Rate Hike and Boost from Paradigm Co-Founder
Zcash saw a significant surge of 23% to about $1,369 in a day as Bitcoin and major cryptocurrencies like Solana rose alongside global stocks.
The rally coincided with comments from Matt Huang, co-founder of Paradigm, who described Zcash as 'a private complement to Bitcoin' and revealed that his firm owns ZEC.
Huang's endorsement and the continued development of Zcash, which allows users to send money without revealing their identities or transaction amounts, seem to be contributing factors to its price increase.
The broader market rebounded after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by a quarter point, with S&P 500 futures rising 0.6% and Nasdaq 100 futures gaining 0.7%.
