Zcash (ZEC) has broken through $1,000 for the first time in its history following strong demand and renewed confidence in the privacy-focused asset. The token's price surged to $1,021 after Grayscale introduced its ZCSH ETF, which has attracted steady inflows from investors seeking regulated access to ZEC in the United States.

The ETF listing on NYSE Arca followed the conversion of the long-running Zcash Trust on August 25. The trust held $313.5 million in assets under management on launch day, and recent disclosures show $414,705,020 now held at Coinbase Custody and BNY, supported by a 2.5% annual fee.

ZEC gained roughly 82% through August, with analysts crediting the ETF launch for a run that lifted the network's market cap from about $8 billion to more than $14 billion. Corporate interest has added momentum, with Cypherpunk Technologies holding 323,394.38 ZEC, equal to about 1.92% of circulating supply.
