Zcash Tumbles After Surging Past $1,600 While Monero Holds Steady
Zcash and Monero are two leading privacy coins designed to let users obscure transaction details. Zcash surged past $1,600 on September 23 but fell sharply by 6.4% to $1,523 in a day, while Monero dipped by only 1.5% to $561.
Zcash's market capitalization stands at $25.8 billion, more than double that of Monero's $10.5 billion. Zcash rose an impressive 77% over the past month compared to Monero’s 26.4% increase.
The Grayscale Zcash ETF (ticker: ZCSH) began trading on NYSE Arca on August 25, allowing investors to buy Zcash through regular brokerage accounts. This contrasts with Monero, which has not benefited from any regulated financial products and lacks an ETF.
