Zcash Whale Accumulation Boosts Demand to $1,500 Target
A significant accumulation of Zcash by a whale investor has boosted demand for the cryptocurrency, potentially pushing its price towards $1,500. According to Onchain Lens, this whale acquired around $13.65 million worth of ZEC from four major exchanges over the past week.
The purchases originated from Binance, OKX, Kraken, and Gate, reflecting accumulation across several liquidity platforms. The whale later transferred the 12.86K ZEC into a fresh wallet, completing the broader accumulation sequence.
This activity was complemented by aggressive spot-market buying, as evidenced by the Spot Taker CVD metric, which tracks whether buyers or sellers control executed spot volume.
The improved mining economics of Zcash also contributed to its improving fundamental backdrop. Higher profitability attracted greater network participation, with Grayscale estimating daily miner rewards near $2 million, compared to roughly $35 million for Bitcoin miners.
