Ethereum Network Hits Record TPS as Tokenized Assets Boom

Ethereum's core network reached a new milestone in the second quarter of this year, processing a record-breaking 25.9 transactions per second (TPS). This achievement comes as Ethereum's total transaction count for Q2 soared to 203.9 million.

The increased usage has led to higher fees on the network, with costs climbing 31.6% to $52.5 million. Meanwhile, the revenue generated from burning ETH more than doubled to $17.1 million.

Ethereum's tokenized asset market experienced significant growth during Q2, averaging $203.1 billion in value. Stablecoins dominated this market, making up $176.8 billion of the total, while tokenized funds reached $20.8 billion. A notable development was the record-breaking average value of tokenized U.S. Treasury funds at $7.5 billion.

Ethereum maintained its position as the leading platform for stablecoins and tokenized funds among major chains. Its ecosystem TVL averaged $287.2 billion, although this figure declined 9.2% quarter over quarter. The staking ratio on Ethereum reached a record high of 32%, indicating increased participation in network security.
