Zest Unveils Demo for Bitcoin Collateral Vaults
Zest has launched a demo for Bitcoin Collateral Vaults, which allows BTC holders to borrow USDC. This move follows other developments in the space, such as Farmhouse, Inc.'s (OTC: FMHS) decision to transition its financial model and establish Bitcoin as its core treasury reserve.
The launch of Zest's demo comes on the heels of Binance's acquisition of a $100M stake in Circle through a private placement. The deal also includes a five-year commercial agreement between the two companies.
Ducat, a decentralized credit protocol, has integrated with the TRON network, allowing for Bitcoin-backed UNIT and USDT settlement onchain. Meanwhile, Circle has unveiled its Arc Mainnet, which features validators including BlackRock, Visa, DTCC, and Mastercard. This move positions the network as a high-grade institutional settlement layer.
The development of stablecoins like USDC continues to be a topic of interest in the crypto space. Zest's demo for Bitcoin Collateral Vaults is an example of how BTC holders can access liquidity without having to sell their holdings.
