ZetaChain Abandons Layer 1 Blockchain for Solana
ZetaChain has announced plans to shut down its Layer 1 blockchain and migrate its native token, ZETA, to Solana. The decision was made after a governance proposal passed with 99.4% support and 58% participation.
The move is part of ZetaChain's plan to focus on Anuma, a private AI application that has already attracted over 300,000 users. By moving to Solana, ZetaChain aims to take advantage of the platform's speed, liquidity, and infrastructure for AI agents.
Under the proposal, current holders of ZETA will receive an equivalent amount of tokens on Solana through a one-for-one conversion, with no increase in supply. Existing vesting schedules will continue under their original terms.
