ZetaChain Votes to Shut Down Blockchain in Favor of Solana-Powered AI Pivot
ZetaChain has voted to shut down its standalone blockchain and migrate to Solana in a strategic pivot towards private AI applications.
The proposal, which passed with over 99% of votes in favor, would see ZETA tokens convert 1:1 into a Solana-native SPL token under the same ticker.
ZetaChain argues that maintaining its own blockchain is no longer necessary, as it can focus on developing Anuma, a private multi-model AI application built around the Private Memory Layer.
The company claims that operating a Cosmos-based network requires coordinating with dozens of independent validators, which would become an operational burden as AI tools make vulnerabilities easier to find.
