ZetaChain Votes to Shut Down Layer 1 Network in Favor of Solana Migration

ZetaChain is considering a migration to Solana after its users overwhelmingly voted in favor of shutting down their Layer 1 network. The proposal, which secured 99.4% support ahead of its September 20 deadline, would see ZETA tokens convert into a Solana SPL token at a one-to-one ratio.

The migration plan includes preserving supply and vesting schedules intact, as well as ensuring that users can continue staking until the shutdown time established through a second proposal. The team has not finalized how staking might work after ZETA moves to Solana.

Anuma's 301,195 users are also set to benefit from the proposed move, which would see them migrate alongside ZETA to Solana. The project cited Solana's speed, liquidity, and AI-agent infrastructure as reasons for the proposed move.
