Zhao Changpeng Denies Market Influence Despite Coincidental Post
ChainCatcher reported that Zhao Changpeng, founder of Binance, appeared on the 'When Shift Happens' podcast. He stated that he has always been bullish about Bitcoin but denied having the ability to influence the entire cryptocurrency market's price.
On August 19, Zhao posted a message suggesting that investors buy Bitcoin, which led to a 20% increase in the cryptocurrency's value over several days. However, Zhao claimed that his post was not intended to drive up prices and that he had not foreseen the subsequent surge.
Zhao explained that he frequently posts updates on social media, often with a bullish tone, and that it was simply a coincidence that one of these posts coincided with positive news for the market. He stated that he did not have prior knowledge of the upcoming positive statement from former US President Donald Trump about Hyperliquid entering the US market.
Zhao also shared his views on Bitcoin's cycle, suggesting that the cryptocurrency market follows a four-year cycle and that there is no need to wait until October for a price bottom.
