Zimbabwe Regulator Opens Sandbox for Blockchain and Tokenization

Share

Zimbabwe's Securities and Exchange Commission (SECZ) has opened its doors to seven fintech projects, allowing them to test blockchain platforms, tokenization tools, and crowdfunding solutions in a controlled environment.

The approved participants include Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange, Ndarama Standard (Private) Limited, Questview Brokers (Private) Limited, Crowdaxe Capital (Private) Limited, and Procode Platforms among others.

The SECZ's sandbox aims to provide a layer of investor protection by ensuring that projects comply with supervisory requirements. Companies that fail to meet regulatory standards during the testing phase could see their projects shelved.
