Zimbabwe's SECZ Selects 7 Fintech Projects for Regulatory Sandbox

Share

Zimbabwe's Securities and Exchange Commission (SECZ) has selected seven fintech projects to join its regulatory sandbox. The chosen companies include Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange, Ndarama Standard, Questview Brokers, Crowdaxe Capital, Procode Platforms, Financial Securities Exchange (FINSEC), and Colmin Resources Zimbabwe.

The projects primarily focus on tokenization, a blockchain-based method for representing assets digitally. This move reflects the growing interest in using digital tokens to increase access to capital markets and make previously illiquid assets tradable.

Admission to the regulatory sandbox allows participants to undergo controlled testing under SECZ's supervision. Successful completion of this process does not guarantee full-scale registration, as projects must still meet the regulator's registration requirements before starting commercial operations.
