zk.money Returns With Private Ethereum Payments Through Aztec Partnership
zk.money has returned to the crypto scene after a three-year hiatus, offering users private Ethereum payments through its partnership with Aztec. The self-custodial wallet allows users to send and receive funds without revealing their balances, payment amounts, or recipients once the funds move inside Aztec.
The relaunch restores a consumer-facing privacy product while keeping deposits from Ethereum publicly traceable. Users can deposit DAI, USDC, or USDT, although USDC and USDT are converted into DAI before private transfers begin.
The Alpha release caps each transaction below $2,500, screens entry and exit addresses, and remains unaudited, making the relaunch both a privacy milestone and an early experimental deployment. Recent Aztec v5 improvements have already reduced proof times and transaction costs.
