Zondacrypto's Missing Executives Spark Chaos Amid Regulatory Scrutiny

Share

The Polish cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto is facing a deepening crisis after its current and former CEOs went missing, according to a report by The New York Times.

The founder Sylwester Suszek has been missing since 2022, while his successor Przemyslaw Kral has been unaccounted for since April. This comes as the exchange faces regulatory scrutiny in Estonia and Poland, with Estonian authorities revoking its parent company's business license in late June.

Zondacrypto halted withdrawals and trading in April, citing technical issues, but the underlying reasons are still under investigation. The halt led to a 99.9% collapse in its native token ZND.
