Zuckerberg's AI Manifesto Omits Crypto, Despite Overlapping Goals
Mark Zuckerberg recently published a 6,500-word manifesto on the future of AI, where he envisions a world of personal super-intelligence and decentralization. The document outlines a bright future in which individuals have access to artificial intelligence, and no single tech giant dominates due to its focus on decentralization.
However, the manifesto surprisingly omits any mention of crypto or decentralized blockchain networks. This seems unusual given that cryptocurrency's roots lie in open-source, decentralized ethos similar to Zuckerberg's vision for AI.
Crypto was initially designed to create a completely decentralized financial asset without the need for intermediaries. Its original goal aligns with the concerns over power consumption mentioned in Zuckerberg's manifesto, which are also relevant to Bitcoin miners and current debates over AI data centers.
Despite this omission, experts believe that there is potential for significant intersections between AI and crypto. Companies like Coinbase Global, at the intersection of crypto and AI, could see substantial gains in the future.
