Air Canada Launches Premium Economy Basic and Business Class Basic Fares
Following industry trends and in response to rising demand for upscale leisure travel, Air Canada has introduced two new basic fare options for its premium cabins.
The new Premium Economy Basic and Business Class Basic fares mirror many of the restrictions associated with Economy Basic tickets but offer a premium twist.
Both fare types are non-refundable and come with chargeable advance seating, although passengers still receive complimentary checked bags, carry-on luggage, priority boarding, and onboard meals.
The key difference between these fares and the Economy Basic option lies in lounge access: Premium Economy Basic passengers will not have access to lounges while Business Class Basic ticket holders can access the Maple Leaf Lounge but not the Signature Suite.
