Air Canada Named Best Airline in North America for Second Year
Air Canada has been named the Best Airline in North America for the second consecutive year at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards. This is the tenth time the airline has received this honour since 2010, according to a statement from The Globe and Mail.
The award was presented in London, UK, based on customer satisfaction surveys of millions of global travellers. In addition to the top spot in North America, Air Canada also took home honours for Best Cabin Crew in Canada, Best Economy On Board Catering in North America, and Best Business Class Lounge in North America.
The airline's leadership in the industry was recognized with its continued commitment to enhancing every stage of the travel journey. Over the past several years, Air Canada has introduced features such as fast, free Wi-Fi sponsored by Bell, a mobile app with expanded functionality, complimentary premium snacks, wine and beer on all flights, and additional content on its award-winning in-flight entertainment system.
Air Canada also moved up two spots and ranks 17th among the World's Top 100 Airlines in 2026. The airline's climate-related ambition includes a long-term aspirational goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, as stated on its website.
