Air Canada Passenger Downgraded from Business to Economy Despite Paid Upgrade

Punjabi actor-singer Gippy Grewal recently took to social media to share his disappointing experience with Air Canada. Despite paying for a Business Class ticket, he was allegedly downgraded to Economy Class on flight AC1504 from Toronto to Newark in the US.

Grewal claimed that when he questioned the airline staff about the change, they told him 'it happened, we can't do anything. You can take the flight or leave it.' He alleged that no apology was offered and when he continued asking for an explanation, he was threatened with removal from the flight.

Air Canada responded to Grewal's post by apologizing for the experience and asking him to share his booking details so they could investigate the matter. However, they did not publicly explain why Grewal was moved to Economy Class despite his Business Class booking.
