Air New Zealand Bolsters Trans-Pacific Flights with Enhanced Cabin Products

Mike Yardley recently flew on Air New Zealand's retrofitted Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, which offer enhanced cabin products. The airline has 14 of these aircraft in its fleet and plans to retrofit the full fleet by year's end. With a new Premium Economy product, passengers enjoy generous recline, adjustable leg rests, and extendable foot support. Business Premier seats have been redesigned for increased privacy and space, while Business Premier Luxe offers an even more luxurious experience with additional amenities.

The Premium Economy cabin was found to be surprisingly roomier than expected, with spacious seating areas and ample storage options. Air New Zealand's Economy product has also seen significant upgrades, including a slimmer seat pitch, larger inflight entertainment screens, and the introduction of Sky Pantry on long-haul flights. Additionally, passengers can now book Skynest pods for lie-down time on select routes.

Cabin service was described as 'casual, convivial and polished' by Yardley, who praised the airline's wine selection and generous beverage service. With improved amenities and services across all cabins, Air New Zealand is aiming to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for its passengers.
