Albanian Lek Hits New Record High Against Euro

The Albanian lek has reached a new record high against the euro, with the European currency trading at 91.4 lekë as of today's official exchange rate from the Bank of Albania.

This marks the lowest level of all time for the euro-lek exchange rate and continues its downward trend that started in the first quarter of this year.

The annual decline of the European currency has accelerated, reaching 5.7%, while the euro-lek exchange rate has fallen by 5.5% since the beginning of the calendar year.

Experts believe that the exchange rate is continuing to fall due to a combination of factors, including weak demand for the euro and a decline in its use in asset transactions, such as real estate.
