Albania's Foreign Exchange Rates Plummet Amid Global Rate Hikes

Albania's foreign exchange rates have seen a further decline this week. According to the latest data from CNA, one US dollar is now bought for 79.3 lek and sold for 80.4 lek. The euro has also dropped in value, with one euro being bought at 91.2 lek and sold at 92 lek.

The British pound and Swiss franc have seen similar declines, with the pound being bought at 106 lek and sold at 107.1 lek, while the Swiss franc is exchanged for 96 lek when purchased and 97.1 lek when sold.

These changes come as major central banks around the world are raising interest rates to combat inflation, with the US Federal Reserve and European Central Bank among those taking action.
