Albania's Lek Plunges Against Major Currencies Amid Market Volatility
The Albanian currency, the lek, has seen significant fluctuations in its exchange rates against major foreign currencies. According to CNA, on Monday, August 31, one US dollar was bought for 79.3 lek and sold for 80.3 lek.
The euro also saw a decline, being bought at 92.1 lek and sold at 92.8 lek. The British pound was bought at 107.2 lek and sold at 108.5 lek. The Swiss franc was exchanged for 98 lek when buying and 99 lek when selling.
The Canadian dollar saw a slight decrease, with one unit being exchanged for 56.7 lek on purchase and 58 lek on sale.
