AllUnity, a Frankfurt-based company backed by DWS, Flow Traders, and Galaxy Digital, is planning to launch a Swedish krona-pegged stablecoin called SEKAU in June 2026. The launch is subject to final regulatory and operational approvals under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation.

The SEKAU stablecoin will be backed 1:1 by Swedish krona reserves, allowing holders to redeem it at par value. AllUnity aims to target financial institutions, fintechs, and enterprise clients with this new token, which is designed for 24/7 instant settlement and cross-border payments.

AllUnity's CEO, Alexander Höptner, stated that Sweden's push towards a cashless economy requires 'a new form of digital money that is interoperable and globally accessible.' This will be the company's third European currency-denominated stablecoin, following EURAU (euro-backed) and CHFAU (Swiss franc-backed).
