Asian Markets Rise on Wall Street Rally and Lower Oil Prices
The Asian markets mostly rose in early trading on Friday, thanks to a rally on Wall Street and declining oil prices.
The Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 surged by 1.4% to 65,000.72 in afternoon trading after the Bank of Japan raised its benchmark interest rate to 1.25% from 1.0%, marking a 31-year high.
The move had been widely anticipated following the Federal Reserve's key rate hike earlier this week.
