Atlantic Provinces Eye Single Economy to Boost Growth
A group of business leaders in Eastern Canada is calling for the region's provinces to become a 'single economy', which they believe would make it one of the country's most prosperous regions.
The Atlantic Economic Panel, made up of seven well-known business leaders, says that by leveraging its abundant talent and resources as a single economic entity, the region could unlock significant growth potential.
The panel notes that the region has a strong foundation in industries such as fishing, forestry, and tourism, but that it is often held back by fragmented markets and limited access to capital.
