AUD/IDR Tests Resistance as Indonesian Rupiah Strengthens
The AUD/IDR currency pair is testing resistance after a modest daily gain. The Australian Dollar vs Indonesian Rupiah exchange rate is currently trading at Rp12,465, with the Indonesian Rupiah advancing against the US Dollar following stronger Chinese economic data.
According to Fxstreet, China's growth outlook has improved regional markets, increasing demand for the Rupiah and boosting confidence in Indonesia's domestic fiscal policy. This has led to a strengthening of the Rupiah against the US Dollar.
The AUD/IDR is trading above its short-term moving averages but remains below some medium-term benchmarks. Technical indicators show overbought conditions, suggesting a high likelihood of a downward move.
Analysts predict that the pair will remain within the Rp12,262 to Rp12,668 range for the next 2-3 trading days, with a breakdown below the support zone around Rp12,279 having a higher probability. A decisive upward breakout is considered unlikely.
