AUD Set to Gradually Gain Against USD Amid Commodity Strength
MUFG analysts are predicting gradual gains for the Australian Dollar (AUD) against the US Dollar (USD), citing strong commodity exports and a relatively hawkish Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) stance.
The bank's forecast is based on an assessment of key macroeconomic indicators, including commodity prices and interest rate differentials. The RBA has maintained higher interest rates compared to the Federal Reserve, which could narrow the differential in favor of the AUD.
Australia's resilient economy, supported by strong exports of iron ore and natural gas, is also driving MUFG's optimistic view on the AUD. Additionally, a potential stabilization in global risk appetite could benefit higher-yielding currencies like the Australian Dollar.
