AUD/USD Eyes Key Price Level Amid Rebound Hopes Fading
Australian dollar (AUD) traders are eyeing a key price level of 0.7025 as evidence for a potential rebound before the Reserve Bank of Australia's (RBA) meeting fails to materialize.
According to historical data, there have been 44 episodes where the AUD has traded against the US dollar since 2018, with an almost even split between gains and losses. The median return for these episodes is close to zero, leaving 0.7025 as a central reference point for traders on October 27.
The author of the analysis had initially considered taking a directional position based on Australia's external deterioration and recent data showing a tentative recovery view. However, additional calculations revealed that neither factor was sufficient to take a side in the market.
