AUD Weakens Against JPY Amid Mixed Economic Data

Australia's trade surplus narrowed to A$1,923M in July, down from A$2,341M in the previous month, as exports plummeted by 3.3% month-over-month.

China's services sector showed signs of growth, with the RatingDog Services PMI rising to 51.4 in August, beating market expectations of 50.6.

In Japan, economic activity continued its upward trend, with the Jibun Bank Composite PMI reaching 53.5 in August, extending a 17-month streak of private-sector expansion.

The Australian Dollar (AUD) weakened against the Japanese Yen (JPY), trading around 113.50 during Asian hours on Thursday, as a wave of mixed economic data from Australia and China put downward pressure on the currency cross.
