The Reserve Bank of Australia's Index of Commodity Prices rose at a softer pace in August 2026, increasing 15.5% year-on-year.

This growth rate is down from an upwardly revised 17.2% gain in the previous month.

The advance was driven by higher prices across most commodities, except iron ore and alumina.

In Australian dollar terms, the index climbed 5.8% year-on-year in August.
