The Reserve Bank of Australia's Index of Commodity Prices rose 15.5% year-on-year in September 2026, marking its lowest reading since March.

While this growth is slower than the previous month's upwardly revised 16.2%, it was still broadly based across most commodities, with the exception of iron ore, alumina, and copper ore prices.

The index rose 6.6% in Australian dollar terms from a year earlier.

On a monthly basis, commodity prices increased 1.4% in September in SDR terms.
