Ayrton Senna's Rare Honda NSX Heads to Auction in London

The Honda NSX owned by Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna will be auctioned off at RM Sotheby's The London Auction on October 31, 2026. This rare car is estimated to sell between 500,000 to 800,000 pounds sterling, or around IDR 12 billion to IDR 19 billion with a rate of 1 pound sterling around IDR 24,000.

The NSX, which has the registration number SX-25-59 and chassis number T000233, is one of three cars Senna received from Honda in the late 1990s. The car uses Formula Red with a black roof and black leather interior.

Senna's involvement in the development of the NSX is even more significant, as he provided feedback on its performance during testing. He judged that the chassis structure was still too weak, leading Honda engineers to increase the chassis rigidity by 50 percent and make improvements to the suspension settings before the production NSX was launched.

The car has been owned by several individuals since Senna's death in 1994, including an owner in the UK and a current owner who purchased it from Nagoya, Japan in 2024. The auction includes a warranty book, ownership history documents in Portugal, and a copy of a Honda fax confirming the car's origins and its connection to Senna.
