Azerbaijan Manat Holds Steady Ahead of Central Bank Rate Decision

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has kept the official exchange rate of the manat unchanged at 1.7000 per US dollar for September 21, 2026. This decision comes as the bank prepares its next interest rate announcement this week.

The CBA also set the euro rate at 1.9507 manat and other currency rates, including the British pound sterling at 2.2742 manat and the Russian rouble at 100.0170 manat.

The bank's decision to maintain the dollar rate contrasts with annual inflation of 5.7 per cent in August, which is above the midpoint of the CBA's 4 per cent target with a two-point band.
