The Bank of Canada has been ordered to stop using contract workers to replace striking security officers for the second time this month.

According to a ruling by the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the bank had again contravened the Canada Labour Code by relying on contractors from Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations during the ongoing strike by its security officers.

The bank said it is disappointed in the decision and is considering 'all of its legal options' in response to the ruling.

The bank claimed that it adhered to the code and took alternative measures to secure its facilities after an earlier ruling found similar violations, but the board disagreed.
