Bank of England Balance Sheet Shows Significant Central Bank Support
The Bank of England has released its weekly balance sheet report for September 30, showing significant central bank liquidity support and asset purchase activities. The report outlines £645,578 million in reserves balances and notes in circulation at £99,214 million.
Within sterling assets, short-term repo operations amount to £128,918 million, while the loan to the Asset Purchase Facility is listed as £521,819 million. Foreign currency reserve assets are recorded at £24,987 million.
