Bank of England Expands in Leeds with New Office at Capitol House

The Bank of England is expanding its presence in Leeds by opening a new office at Capitol House. The move will house the central bank's growing headcount in the city, which currently stands at nearly 300 staff. According to plans announced earlier, the Bank aims to increase this number to at least 500 by 2027.

Bank Governor Andrew Bailey described the new office as an 'important milestone' in the Bank's long-term commitment to Leeds. The move will also strengthen its presence across the UK and ensure it better reflects and represents the people, businesses, and communities it serves.
