BDO Introduces Self-Service Forex Machine at NAIA Terminal 3
Travelers arriving at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 now have a faster way to convert foreign currency into Philippine pesos. BDO has introduced a self-service Currency Exchange Machine that allows both foreign and Filipino travelers to exchange US dollars, euros, and Japanese yen without the need for teller assistance or forms.
The automated machine, available 24/7, authenticates banknotes, accepts up to 30 bills per transaction, and provides a printed receipt. Customers receive peso bills and coins immediately after the transaction. The machine is located shortly after immigration clearance and the arrival gates, directly in front of the BDO branch at NAIA Terminal 3.
Cora A. Mallillin, BDO Executive Vice President and Head of Branch Banking Group, highlighted that the innovation meets travelers' expectations for convenience and flexibility. “Travelers today expect convenience at every touchpoint of their journey,” she said, emphasizing that the machine provides secure access to pesos without delays.
The service reflects the growing preference for digital and self-service transactions, offering travelers a simple and secure way to obtain local currency upon arrival. Using the machine involves five easy steps, including selecting the currency, scanning the passport, inserting foreign bills, and collecting the converted pesos and receipt.
