BDO launches self-service forex machine at NAIA Terminal 3
BDO Unibank, led by the Sy family, has introduced a self-service forex machine at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. This new service allows travelers to exchange US dollars, euros, and Japanese yen into Philippine pesos without needing to fill out forms or seek teller assistance.
The machine is located near the BDO branch at the airport, just after immigration clearance. To use it, travelers must select their desired currency, accept the terms and conditions, scan their passport, insert foreign bills, and confirm the amount in pesos. The machine then dispenses the converted pesos and provides a printed receipt.
Cora Mallillin, BDO's executive vice president and head of branch banking, emphasized the convenience this innovation offers. "Travelers today expect convenience at every touchpoint of their journey," she said. The machine allows customers to securely access pesos quickly, enhancing their travel experience.
The Currency Exchange Machine can authenticate banknotes, accept up to 30 bills at a time, and issue a receipt for each transaction. BDO positions this as a travel-friendly solution that underscores its commitment to competitive forex services.
